The founder of an influential religious foundation in Turkey has been sentenced to almost 19 years in prison in a historic child marriage case that has caused widespread outrage. The marriage – which took place in 2004 – saw the man’s 6-year-old daughter wed a 29-year-old, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.
