Recently, Vivo’s official Weibo account released teasers for the upcoming S19 series smartphones. Vivo’s vice president Jia Jingdong also confirmed the S19 Pro’s camera capabilities in a recent post on social media. The brand has now officially set May 30 as the launch date for these new devices in China.
So far, it is reported that the Vivo V19 Pro may debut with a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with a 1.5K 2800 x 1260 pixel resolution. The device is expected to feature a Dimensity 9200+ SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM under the hood.
The device will use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS support, paired with another 50-megapixel Sony telephoto camera with 50x digital zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. A 50-megapixel selfie camera is likely to be installed on the front.
In addition, the 3C certification confirmed the ability to fast charge the 80W battery. The battery capacity has not been confirmed yet, but we expect a 5,000 mAh unit to be on board.
Details about the vanilla S19 are scarce, but a recent Geekbench listing revealed that it is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with 16GB of RAM. The vanilla model is expected to feature a 6,000 mAh battery and 80W fast charging. More details will be confirmed in the coming days, so stay tuned.
