Carpetright bosses are set to shut more than 200 stores – including 10 in Kent. The firm has been bought in a rescue deal by rival Tapi after appointing administrators, but will cut more than 1,000 jobs. And the deal will not save most of the business, including its head office in Purfleet, Essex.
