A person had to be cut free after a car crash. Firefighters had to take the roof off to release the occupant. The collision, involving one car, was at Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead, Gillingham, in the early hours of this morning A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two fire engines attended, and crews removed the roof of the vehicle to free one person, who was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.” The fire brigade was called out at 4.34am and the crews were at the scene until exactly 5.37am.
