A local council in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein approved Northvolt’s plans to build a battery factory near the town of Heide, clearing the path for one of the largest industrial projects in the area in decades. The Norderwöhrden municipal council approved the project by four votes to three on Monday evening. The second local authority, Lohe-Rickelshof, had already passed the corresponding resolutions unanimously on Thursday.
