A 41-year-old woman and two of her children died on Sunday when a residential building collapsed after a gas explosion near the southern Italian city of Naples. The bodies of the mother, a 4-year-old daughter and her 6-year-old son were recovered from the rubble of the building in the small town of Saviano. Rescue efforts for the 80-year-old grandmother, who also lived in the house, were still under way late on Sunday, although hopes of finding her alive were thought to be fading.
