The Appeal Court in Abuja on Tuesday imposed a cumulative fine of N400, 000 on the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the 2023 election in Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, for filing an interlocutory appeal that wasted the time of the court and the respondents. The N400,000 fine is in favour of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and three other respondents comprising the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
