HP has announced two new laptops with Arm artificial intelligence based on Snapdragon X Elite – the OmniBook X and EliteBook Ultra G1q. In this article, we’ll talk about the HP OmniBook X, which offers a 14-inch screen and weighs just 1.35 kg.


Technical characteristics and features of the HP OmniBook X AI computer:

This laptop is available in two different colors – Ceramic White and Meteor Silver. It offers you a 512GB or 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD that is paired with 16GB/32GB LPDDR5X 8448MHz RAM.

The device is powered by a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 chipset with a clock speed of up to 3.4 GHz. It is noteworthy that there are two more variants (X1E-80-100 and X1E-84-100) that reach even higher clock speeds. The chipset is claimed to be more efficient than the latest offerings from Intel and AMD.

Opening the lid reveals a 14-inch 2.2K (2240 x 1400) IPS touchscreen with a density of up to 300 nits and certified for low blue light emission, which should be comfortable for the eyes. The screen to body ratio is 87.8%. You can get an idea of the bezels in the image above.

For video calls, there’s a 5-megapixel webcam and a full-size backlit keyboard that matches the color of the laptop. For security, there is a microphone mute button and a camera shield.

The 1.35 kg laptop is equipped with a 59 Wh battery and comes with a USB Type-C power adapter. According to the company, it charges 50% in 30 minutes.

With this laptop, you get the following ports:
