A memorial service for former West Germany and Werder Bremen goalkeeper Dieter Burdenski, who died on October 9 at age 73, was held on Tuesday. Family, friends and the Bremen club paid tribute to Burdenski, who won 12 caps and was part of the 1978 World Cup squad, at the memorial in a Bremen concert hall.
