LEE COUNTY, Fla. \- A Lee County man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for his involvement in an armed carjacking. U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber handed down the sentence following the defendant’s guilty plea to carjacking and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. According to court documents, the defendant, along with two accomplices, used a firearm to threaten and rob a victim of their vehicle.
