A Turkish court sentenced a contractor to more than 18 years in prison on Thursday for negligence concerning a building that collapsed in last years devastating earthquake in the countrys south-east. Contractor Müslüm Demirer was handed 18 years, one month and 15 days in jail for causing death and injuries by gross negligence, state broadcaster TRT reported.
