The Mega Millions and Powerball multi-state lottery drawings have soared to a combined total of more than $1.72 billion in jackpots for this weekend’s drawings. The larger of the two jackpots is Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot worth $977 million with a cash option of $461 million.
