Some 4.4 million Slovak voters are called on to elect a new head of state on Saturday. Polling stations are open on Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm. The result should be known by Sunday afternoon. If, as expected, no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, there will be a run-off election on April 6. There are no women in the field of nine candidates standing in the election.
