Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh) [India], May 22 (ANI): To tackle the problem of depleting groundwater level, 42 Panchayats of Rajnandgaon came up with a unique initiative and made 2.25 lakh pits to store water during the rainy season. The project has cost Rs 1.16 crores and has been made on 111 hills. Around 1.5 lakh villagers worked on this project continuously for 2 months.
