Oct WTI crude oil (CLV24) Thursday closed up +1.08 (+1.50%), and Oct RBOB gasoline (RBV24) closed up +2.80 (+1.36%). Crude oil and gasoline prices posted moderate gains on Thursday as technical indicators showed crude prices were near oversold levels after falling to a 2-week low Wednesday. Crude also has carryover support from Wednesday when weekly EIA crude inventories fell more than expected to a 6-1/2 month low.
