A village pub transformed into an Italian restaurant is closing after just four months, with bosses saying they needed “more support” to be “financially viable”. The White Stag in Monkton, near Ramsgate, was revamped into The Olive Tree at the White Stag in March as the owner John Esqulant looked at ways to diversify.
