US President Joe Biden “strongly endorses” Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to be the next NATO Secretary General, a US official told dpa on Thursday. The US president supports Rutte’s candidacy as the Dutch prime minister’s “leadership would serve the alliance well at this critical time,” the US official said.
