An expert has shared little-known tips that could help boost one’s pension pot to avoid them living in poverty during retirement. The gap between the poorest pensioners and those on average incomes has been widening since 2011, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS). Poorer pensioners have fallen behind since 2011 in part because they have not benefited from any income rises such as private pension incomes, or workplace pensions.
