Newark’s military role in the Civil War is to be explored in a new book, set to be published later this year. Dr Stuart Jennings, who has a PhD in Early Modern British History from Nottingham Trent University, a former lecturer at Warwick University and academic advisor to the National Civil War Centre, is to publish his third book ‘Royalist Newark, 1642-1646’ this year.
