By Laura McGuire UK consumer confidence rose by two points in May in a sign that Brits are becoming increasingly hopeful about their financial position ahead of the summer months. GfK’s consumer confidence reading came in at -17 for May, an improvement from -19 in April and -21 points in March. The figure is up by ten points when compared to exact same period the year before, as cooling inflation improves consumer sentiment.
