While spending a lot of time on both Friday and Saturday sitting in traffic queues on the A46 and in Newark town centre (thanks to the queues on the A46) my mind once again went back to the Newark town councillors who opposed the improvements scheme before being overruled. What on earth were they thinking? How can they think that doing nothing would benefit the town? Have they ever had to endure Newark’s traffic queues?
