The number of people working at daycare centres in Germany has surged over the past decade, since the country implemented a legal entitlement to care for young children. Around 702,200 people are working as childcare staff at daycare facilities as of March 1, 2023, according to a report released on Wednesday by Germany’s Federal Statistical Office.
