SARASOTA, Fla. -The Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the fatal two-vehicle collision, which occurred shortly before 10:00 PM Wednesday near the intersection of North Tuttle Avenue and Fruitville Road. All lanes of Fruitville Road were closed in the area but have since reopened.
