Iranian security forces have confiscated the European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize that was awarded to the late Iranian-Kurdish protest icon Jina Mahsa Amini, a human rights organization said on Saturday. Norway-based Hengaw said Amini’s lawyer, Mohammed Saleh-Nikbakht, wanted to hand over the EU’s human rights prize to the family of the young Kurdish woman in Iran.
