The Israeli military is penetrating further into southern Lebanon, advancing in the area around Aitaroun near the border, according to Shiite militia Hezbollah. The Iran-backed militia said its forces had pushed the Israel Defense Force (IDF) troops back to the other side of the border with machine guns and rockets.
