A Jersey Shore amusement pier was briefly evacuated Saturday evening due to a police investigation reportedly related to a person with a gun. Surfside Pier in North Wildwood, part of the Morey’s Piers and Amusement Parks chain, was shut down temporarily but reopened, according to local police.
