A burglar who broke into a property as the occupants slept and left his fingerprints on a window has been jailed. Liam Tonner, 38, of Essex Close, Cambridge, broke into a property in Verulam Way in the early hours of 21 July. The occupants woke to find one of the downstairs windows wide open and a bag containing two laptops and a charger had been stolen. A baby changing bag containing equipment for a child and a purse with foreign currency was also taken. Scenes of crime officers recovered fingerprints from the window which matched Tonner’s.
