French Prime Minister Michel Barnier will push through his austerity budget without a vote in the National Assembly if required, government spokeswoman Maud Bregeon said in Paris on Wednesday. The cabinet had agreed to allow Barnier to make use of the relevant paragraph in the constitution in the event that he cannot get the budget through the National Assembly and the upper house, the Senate.
