An intercity passenger train collided with a lorry at a level crossing in the eastern Czech Republic on Wednesday morning, killing the train driver, police and the railway operator said. More than a dozen of the approximately 35 passengers on the train were injured in the accident, which derailed the locomotive and one carriage. Overhead lines were also damaged. The train was travelling from the border with Poland to Prague when the crash occurred at an intersection near the village of Dolní Lutyně.
