A signal fault is causing traffic chaos around the eastern side of Cambridge today (Wednesday, 24 January). Engineers are on their way to fix the faulty signal, which is on the A1303 Newmarket Road in Teversham. The issue has caused traffic to build up on the A14, with queues of around seven miles in both directions from junction 35 for Stow Cum Quy. There are also delays of around three miles on the westbound carriageway of the A1303 at Teversham. People are advised to avoid the area and allow extra time for their journeys.
