San Francisco 49ers (1-2) star running back Christian McCaffrey has yet to suit up this season, and it appears his stay on injured reserve could last even longer than the minimum four games. Adam Schefter of ESPNsaid on “Monday Night Countdown” that McCaffrey, who has been dealing with an Achilles injury since the start of training camp, traveled over to Germany this past weekend to meet with a specialist to “consider what is wrong with his Achilles tendinitis.” He is expected to spend a few days there this week as he receives examination.
