U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers this week seized nearly 12,000 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in a shipment of squash, valued at more than $18 million, the agency said Wednesday. On Monday at around 6:47 a.m., CBP officers working at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility, an import inspection facility in San Diego, Calif., encountered a commercial tractor-trailer with a manifest indicating it was carrying a shipment of squash.
