Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, has appealed his five-year jail term at the Lagos Division of the Appeal Court. Baba Ijesha urged the Appeal Court to set aside his conviction by a Lagos State High Court for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. On July 12, 2022, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court, convicted the Yoruba Nollywood actor to five years imprisonment over the sexual assault of a minor.
