Parts of New Jersey on Saturday recorded over three inches of rain during an early spring storm leading to potential rising rivers on Sunday. The National Weather Service on Saturday said the storm system dumped as much as 1 to 2 inches of rain in many counties by the afternoon. Flood watches were issued across the state, including one for the North Branch of the Raritan River in Raritan Borough in Somerset County.
