The planned new secondary school for Wisbech is on course to open in September – meaning dozens of students will not have to travel away from the town for their education. It will open initially in temporary accommodation on the site of Thomas Clarkson Academy in the town. This means there will be sufficient secondary school places in Wisbech this September and pupils will not have to travel to Whittlesey or Littleport instead.
