A teacher who worked as a band director at two schools in Bergen County was charged Friday with engaging in sexual conduct with a student more than a decade ago, authorities said. Kurt Zimmermann, 55, of Rockaway, was director of bands when he had sexual contact with a student between the ages of 13 and 17 on more than one occasion, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
