Part of a road was blocked for more than two hours after a digger flipped over. The roundabout near Cowstead Corner on the A2500 Lower Road on Sheppey was closed off. Pictures show the machinery completed turned on its side, with workers setting up cones to divert traffic. One driver said on a local Facebook group that there was no way through Lower Road from Cowstead Corner. Those heading to Eastchurch and Leysdown were being asked to find alternative routes.
