Tokyo stocks opened lower Thursday, weighed down by selling in a wide range of issues following a decline on Wall Street overnight. In the first 15 minutes of trading, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 255.86 points, or 0.67 percent, from Wednesday to 37,849.00. The broader Topix index was down 20.27 points, or 0.77 percent, at 2,616.69.
