We’re appalled by the Star-Ledger Editorial Board’s “The truth about Tammy Murphy. Her core claim is bogus.” This editorial questioned the effectiveness of Murphy’s Nurture NJ initiative about maternal and infant health. Minimizing the seriousness of this issue, as we believe the editorial did, is sexist, callous and deeply offensive to mothers of all races and ethnicities — especially Black women.
