The director of Volunteer Centre West Berkshire (VCWB) has announced his retirement, 25 years after taking on the role. Garry Poulson, 63, who joined the local charity as director in 1998, will be stepping down on March 28. Mr Poulson said he was proud to have promoted volunteering in West Berkshire and to have encouraged people “to become stakeholders within their communities”.
