Burglars caused extensive damage to the front of Subway sandwich shop’s town centre premises when they broke in to snatch the till. Police are investigating the incident which took place overnight on Monday last week (June 17/18) between 7pm and 8.30am in Apton Road. A spokeswoman for Herts police said: “Extensive damage was caused to glass at the front of the store to gain entry. The till was taken.
