The next step in a plan to charge $15 for passenger vehicles to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street could be headed for a vote this week, clearing the way to start charging the fee in mid-June. A vote on finalizing what’s called congestion pricing rates, by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), could happen as early as Wednesday, March 27 – 16 days after thousands of people spoke for and against the proposal during a public comment period that closed on March 11.
