By Bradley Jolly Downpours will lash most of the country today as the Easter school holidays starts with a washout, forecasters say. The Met Office says the spells of rain sweeping northeastwards will be heavy at times and weather maps indicate the severest downpours will be across the Southwest of England this morning, and parts of Yorkshire by midday.
