Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met an Israeli professor as part of an inter-faith dialogue during his visit to New York on Tuesday. The researcher at Pennsylvania State University, Lior Sternfeld, confirmed the meeting to dpa, saying he hoped the reformist Iranian president – who won elections in July – would be able to lead Iran into establishing peace in the Middle East.
