Ivory Coast parted ways with their national coach Jean-Louis Gasset – and progressed to the next round of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday. The Ivorian football association (FIF) announced that the 70-year-old Frenchman and his entire coaching staff were dismissed. A statement by the FIF said Gasset showed “insufficient results in accordance with the contract with the association,” it said.
