US President Joe Biden has urged the world to not give up on peace in the face of conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East and Sudan. “I recognize the challenges from Ukraine to Gaza to Sudan and beyond,” Biden told the general debate at the UN’s headquarters. “Maybe because of all I’ve seen and all we’ve done over the decades, I have hope.” Biden listed the Vietnam War, Apartheid in South Africa and the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks as examples of where the international community pulled together to affect change.
