The German Armed Forces are to participate in the NATO maritime surveillance mission Sea Guardian and the UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan (UNMISS) for another year. Germany’s Cabinet has approved the extension of the mandates for both missions until March 2025, government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit said in Berlin on Wednesday.
