At least 23 people have died in severe storms in south-eastern Brazil. Fifteen deaths were reported in the state of Espírito Santo, 13 of them in the town of Mimoso do Sul, news agency Agência Brasil said on Sunday citing the local civil protection agency. Four of the dead were killed by a landslide in the popular tourist resort of Petrópolis in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Agência Brasil reported earlier, citing the authorities.
