A raccoon got into a house in south-western Germany and triggered a police operation. A female resident of the house in the town of Heidenheim an der Brenz in the region of Swabia tried in vain to shoo the animal out of the house some time during the night, the police said on Friday. As she was unsuccessful, she called the police. The officers found the animal in the woman’s bedroom. When the small nocturnal mammal tried to get out, it attacked a police officer, but fortunately he was unharmed. The animal eventually escaped from the house. It remains unclear exactly how it got in.
