Thousands of people took to the streets in several German cities for the rights of lesbian, gay and the broader queer community (LGBTQ), with around 22,000 showing up to a Pride parade in the northern port city of Bremen, police said on Saturday. In eastern Germany, 2,500 people joined the protest march for tolerance and diversity in Magdeburg, while in Jena, about 1,700 people turned out to march, according to the police.
